Controlling your labor can be the most profitable thing you ever do in your business. If your business is a labor intensive business service based business, involving such operations as:

1. Workshop based staff
(i.e. motor vehicles, all other types of repair and maintenance workshops)

2. Field based staff
(i.e. mobile service repair fleets, appliance servicing, security technicians, electrical, plumbing etc)

3. Other service businesses
Any service based business where specific employees are responsible for generating revenue.

You must ensure that you have effective controls in place to monitor the productivity of your staff that are responsible for revenue generation and that your hourly rate is correctly calculated.
